Feldmoching-Hasenbergl
Historical Background
The district of Feldmoching-Hasenbergl consists of the neighborhoods of Feldmoching and Hasenbergl. Feldmoching was founded as early as the year 500 and was once an important location in the northern part of Munich. In 1818, it became an independent municipality and was incorporated into Munich in 1938. Hasenbergl, named after a clay hill originally used for hunting, started as an agriculturally dominated area and gradually grew into an important district over time.
Location
The district is located in the far north of Munich and borders the district of Milbertshofen-Am Hart to the east and Moosach to the south. To the west, it is bordered by the district of Allach-Untermenzing, and to the north, it is adjacent to the district of Dachau. The area is characterized by both agricultural land and residential neighborhoods. It stretches from Feldmoching to Hasenbergl and Ludwigsfeld, making it a district with a diverse structure.
Building structure
The development in the district ranges from agriculturally used land in Feldmoching to the larger settlements in Hasenbergl, which were built in the 1950s. Since the 1970s, the infrastructure has steadily improved, particularly through the expansion of the public transport network and the construction of shopping centers. However, the most significant change has been the increasing construction of single-family homes and residential areas, especially after World War II.
Population
With around 58,245 inhabitants, the district is one of the larger districts in Munich. Due to its large area of 2,893.78 hectares, the population density is relatively low compared to the Munich average. The proportion of foreign nationals is 27.4%, which is above the city average.
Age Structure
The district is characterized by a high proportion of residents aged 15 to 45, who make up around 39.87% of the population. This age group represents a significant potential for real estate offerings such as single-family homes or rental apartments.
